As 4.30 approached on base this week, hashers began gathering around the Stage area. Bus Driver and his family of passengers were flip flop clad but had trainers nearby. Old Golly Waddler handed in her excuses as she ran past with twirling batons and flags in hand. Wood ‘n’ Pecker should be arriving soon. Tom Thumb was back on island and ready to go… but who with? The Last Turtle Head of Doom was honest to admit he was only there for the beer. So where was the hash? Bladerunner wasn’t carrying his usual rucsac but was willing – when he found the others. The little hashers were happy walking round and round the beergarden, winning teddybears.
So, there was no hash of sorts this week. Only the second time I can remember in the four years here. Let’s make up for it next week!
Next Week: the firing range hut, along the track opposite Babcock stores on the north East Bay road.
Bring a plate of eats and a torch! OGW
