They met at the Two Boats sports field, the hazards were given as a steep up and a steep down with some rocks and holes in rocks oh yes and some Mexican thorn.  The machete hadn’t completely cleared the trail.  The On-On was given and up we went following the electric poles for some of the way and the ramps for the rest until we got to the Madagascar path.   Along we went to the catchment area and the first (yes, all this way to the first) circle check.  It was windy, very windy, waiting for Dip Stick and Smokey Eel Gobbler to catch up with us but they never turned up!?   Time was pressing on and so we decided to bash on, On-On towards Middleton’s peak, from where we saw Dip Stick and Smokey Eel Gobbler walking down the road in the distance to the cars.  Blade runner isn’t known for his short walk in the park hashes!   After admiring the view on another very windy top it was over the top we went.  This was the start of the down, more or less following the ridge line.  Simply Indiscreet was amazed at the amount of obsidian on the hill but this is known as the ‘Obsidian Trail’.  Down all the way down to the IDL fence were a home arrow was discovered (a long way from home) so up the hill along the road back to the cars and a very welcoming beer.

A long, long  hash and a very good hash, sorry I can’t comment on the condition of the other Hashers, time was running short and some of us had another do to do!

Thanks again Blade Runner for a great Hash, looking forward to the next promised instalment!

Next Week:  Simply Indiscreet
