Role: Serco Defence, Science and Nuclear have a vacancy for an Aircraft Handler.
Location: Airhead, Ascension Island
Hours: The post will entail working flexible hours which may include evenings, weekends and public holidays. An average 40 hour working week is contracted.
The post is unaccompanied status
The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:
- Driving a variety of specialist vehicles to assist in the movement of personnel and specialist Ground Servicing Equipment to / from transiting aircraft.
- Providing aircraft services to ensure flight safety.
- The preparation and monitoring of specialist vehicles, equipment and tools.
- Monitoring of Ground Servicing Equipment and aircraft equipment reserve stocks.
A successful candidate will be:
· Proactive with high customer service skills.
· IT literate.
· Physically fit.
And will have:
· A good standard of education.
· Excellent team working skills.
· A full, clean, driving licence.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong personal values and self motivation.
