Ascension : MV 'MSC Jenny'

The container carrier MV “MSC Jenny” made an unscheduled call to Ascension last Wednesday, 22 June at 0730 hrs to land a crew member who required urgent medical assistance.

The vessel which was built in 1988, weighs in at 22,470 tonnes and has an overall length of 244 metres.

With 20 crew remaining on board, she departed the harbour shortly after landing the crew member.  She continued on her way to Cape Town to deliver the 1,560 fully loaded containers on  board
