After an exhilarating weekend of Royal wedding celebrations, Our Own Correspondent, Louise Short, put some questions to someone else who enjoys wearing a crown...Walter Scott.. the island’s Crown Counsel.

What is your full name? Walter Scott

Do you have a nickname? Mkarandegwa

Are you married? Do you have children? Yes 3 (children not wives)

Where were you born? Mufulira Zambia

When did you arrive on Ascension? Feb21 2011

What is your role on the Island?  Crown Counsel

What attracted you to working here? -15C in UK

Can you give our readers a brief synopsis of your legal career to date? like good bread dough.... still rising

Where would I normally find you on a Friday evening? If not fishing...dreaming of fishing.

What football team do you support? Chelski and Saracens. Internationally no football team, rugby is the legendary Springboks (same for cricket)

Where is your favourite place in the world and why? Zimbabwe, God’s own country; sadly he has a belly ache at the moment.

What is your favourite car? Whichever one is driving me home from work.

If you could only take one CD on holiday, what would it be?  Very best of AC/DC or Verdi's Aida - it's a tough call.

Name one world leader that you admire and tell us why….. Sarkosy....he has a hot wife.

What is your dream job? Fishing for Tuna all day long

What do you do in your spare time? Fish for tuna

If you could choose one superhero power, who would it be and why? Iceman so I could instantly freeze the tuna as I caught it.

There’s a bit of a theme here!!!

What is your favourite cuisine? Eating tuna

Of course!

What is the last movie you saw? Withnail and I on DVD: some Japanese nonsense called Ponyo, in the cinema, with many many children in tow.

What book would you recommend to a friend and why? Bill Bryson's ‘’Short History of Everything’’.  I became an instant know it all about everything after reading it (sitting next to me in the pub was a real treat); but I've forgotten everything now, so I need someone to read it and tell me about it.

Name 3 things in life could you not do without. Helen, the kids, and a car to escape them every now and again.

Do you have a role model and if so why have they influenced you? Uma Thurman, she's really good with a Japanese sword

Where is your favourite place on the island? Anywhere out of earshot of my kids

If you could have half an hour with anyone famous, who would it be? Uma Thurman and half an hour would be pushing it.

What was the most difficult decision you ever had to make? Marrying my wife Helen and not waiting for Uma Thurman to call

Do you have a signature dish? My English fry up is second only to Helen's

A quick recovery!!!

What experiences do you think your children will have on the island , that they wouldn’t necessarily have in the UK? Swallowing an average of one fly per meal.

What is your favourite thing about living on the Island? It's not -15c

What three words do you think your wife Helen, would use to describe you.

You complete me

Is there anything else you would like to share with our Islander readers? Is anyone going fishing soon?
