Ascension : News From St Mary's

ANNUAL VESTRY MEETING will be held in St. Mary’s Church during divine service on Sunday 13th March 2011 at 10.30am for the following matters:

ANNUAL VESTRY MEETING

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Canon 27 of the Canons and Constitution of the Church of the Province of Southern Africa that the ANNUAL VESTRY MEETING will be held in St. Mary’s Church during divine service on Sunday 13th March 2011 at 10.30am for the following matters:

(1) The reception of the Churchwarden’s accounts.

(2) The Election of Churchwardens and Parish Councillors.

(3) The care, with the Incumbent, of the Parish in matters affecting worship, ministry, education, evangelism, unity, development and social responsibility.

If anyone is interested in serving as a Churchwarden or Parish Councillor please contact either of the current Church Wardens before next Sunday. There is provision for three wardens and nine parish councillors.

Service for Sunday

Sunday 13 March 2011 will be the First Sunday in Lent.  The service for Sunday will be a celebration of the ‘Eucharist without a Priest’. The service will start at the usual time of 10.30am.

The readings for Sunday are: Genesis 2: 7-9 & 3: 1-7 Romans 5: 12-19.
