Ascension : PUBLIC NOTICE - ISLAND COUNCIL SOON TO BE DISSOLVED

You are advised that, in accordance with Section 22 of the Island Government (Ascension) Ordinance 2008, His Excellency the Acting Governor has formally given notice that the Island Council will be dissolved with effect from 11th October 2010.

The following dates relate to the dissolution of the Island Council and the forthcoming General Election:

Objections to Preliminary List of Electors        -           Thursday 30^th September 2010

Notice of Dissolution of the Island Council      -           Monday 11^th October 2010

Formal Notice of Election                              -           Monday 11^th October 2010

Publication of Final List of Electors                -           Monday 18^th October 2010

Nomination Day                                           -           Tuesday 19^th October 2010

General Election                                           -           Wednesday 3^rd November 2010
