A lady came ashore from the tourist ship who had just reached 100 years old.
Helen from the “Islander” went down to the Pierhead to interview her for the paper.

 

A lady came ashore from the tourist ship who had just reached 100 years old.

Helen from the “Islander” went down to the Pierhead to interview her for the paper.

“How’s your health?” asked Helen.

“Let me tell you, I’ve never been to a doctor in my life” she replied.

“That’s incredible – do you mean to say you’ve never been bedridden in your life?”

“Of course I have, young lady, in fact table-ended as well but there’s no need to put that in the “Islander”.
