Ascension : Calling artistic people
Submitted by The Islander (Islander Internet Editor) 05.03.2009 (Article Archived on 19.03.2009)

Do you like to paint, draw or be creative but never find the time?

Do you need  space away from your home to develop skills, begin the hunt for that hidden talent or finish the latest commission?

Do you need encouraging to enter that class in the Ascension Day Fair?

Did you enjoy art at school but never did anything about it since?

Then read on.

I am trying to arrange a weekly meeting place for those interested in developing their skills as part  of an informal get together where we can work at our own pace.   After initial enquiries I’ve found a group of about 5 people who are keen to see this idea off the ground.  We have the ‘Children’s church’  booked on Thursday Evening  at 7.30 to start us off.  If you are at all interested then please come along.   Bring your sketch book or some work to finish/begin or even just call for coffee and cake to see who else is working on what!

If you want to know more then call Alison Birkett on 4645.

Remember, Thursday evening – the door will be open so don’t hide your talents
