It is me again I seem to be featuring in all your newspapers just recently!!! Now you know why the Tobins moved there to escape me!! Please can you surprise my niece Miss Faye Tobin on the 31st January she will be celebrating her first birthday on the Island I know it will be very different than what she is used to back in cold and wet England so please can you print her name in BIG BIG Letters and say a very very HAPPY BIRTHDAY not just from me but from all her family back in England. I am sure she will have a wonderful day as there seems to be parties and celebrations galore out there just be warned this batty woman has scouring all the job vacancies for any that may match my criteria???? that appear in your paper.

Thank you for being my link to my family out there I do appreciate it and I hope that you don't mind me emailing you.

Dear Islander
My wife's father, Percival Neale, was born on Ascension on May 13th, 1895. His father, William George Neale, was a Chief Writer in the Royal Navy. Canon Duncan of St. Mary's church was kind enough to send me data from Percy's baptismal certificate in 2006. William Neale was transferred to Malta the following year and I have a family photo taken there when Percy was barely 2 years old.

Would you be interested in a copy of the photo? Although it was not taken on Ascension, it does show a contemporary view of a lower ranking officer of the RN as he would have looked at the time.

Sincerely,  David Mitchell

Hi. Read about your little island and got curious, so looked up the local newspaper.

I'm an islander as well, though not quite in the same sense as you folk.

Our local newspaper is:
www.vashonbeachcomber.com.

I wish your webcam updated more often. It's last image updated 3 days ago.

Hello!
I'd like to have a correspondence with someone from your island (all ages). I'm female, originally from Asia but have been living in Germany for a long time. It would be a pleasure to exchange views etc. with one of you. May I please count on an early reply? Thanks in advance.
Best regards, Renée Klie

Hello from Bill,
I have discovered two of my relatives were born on Ascension Island.  From the 1901 census the following information was found:
Bessie Burnett daughter of William Burnett and Mary Jane Burnett born 1888 - Ascension Island, and Florence Jane Burnett born 1890.  Would you know if there is a record of their birth on the island?
thanks.
