Another large group gathered at the VT Mess. Quite a lot of new faces, old friends and other visitors who maybe didn't quite realise what they were in for!

The usual warnings – which included telling Hashers about certain Hash marks called Circle Checks... 'O'...these are a circle of Hash laid to make sure everyone has a rest and can catch up with the others – yes we know you FRB's don't like them, but tough! Next time I will hide the minibus keys and make you run all the way back!

The Hashmaster told of the sad news of Vanguardia who enjoyed hashing with us and had talked of doing this particular hash only last weekend but sadly passed away last week, so we would do this hash for him and think of him on the way down the scree runs.

We set off all at different paces but all in the same direction – towards Sisters Peak – yes even the little ones

Golidlocks and No Nuts continued on up the side of the dreaded mountian. Then the on on led up up! Straight over the circle checks. Just a note here for the FRB's Circle checks look like this 'O'. Just so you know for next time! They mean stop!

So on we went up Sisters Peak, Right to the top. And over the other side for the first Scree Run – It was a bit windy so I'm Easy made sure that Tough Cookie had someone to anchor her down. A few stopped to admire the view and sign the visitors book but the FRB's must have spotted the buses and were off! So much for running back home. I should have been extra cruel and made you do it in reverse as I had originally planned – yes up the scree runs! Be warned – I have ways and means!

So we slid and skidded down the scree runs, all 3 of them, with several stops in between to empty the Klinker from our boots, shorts, t-shirts and other places I won't mention! Beaver Diva was getting buried in Scree on the final run – we know she is only small, so while the rest of us are only ancle deep, she was in it up above her knees!

Everyone managed to get on board the buses that were waiting at the bottom of the run. Then it was back to the V.T. Mess for a Fishfry laid on by the VT staff as a farewell for the Nutty Family.

A few namings and Kate became Welsh Letter – not sure about the how and why.. in fact there were quite a few puzzled faces with that name, Megan became Crab Legs (poor you) and Draco was named Iceman and then met with the ice and water itself. But along with the hello's there was a farewell as Malibu's Most Wanted tried to sneak off without burning his boots – no chance – especially as the BBQ was already well alight! All the best MMW.

Thanks to Phyllis, Peter and Manuel and fishermen for the lovely spread. Cheers too to Nicky who couldn't be with us but whose idea it was to put on the do. I don't think you have seen the last of the Nutters yet though.
