Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc wishes to employ a Supervisor to work within their Two Boats Shop. This post will be available from early July, 2008.
The successful applicant will be accountable to the General Manager and will work closely with the Clerical Administrator and the Store-keeper when preparing orders for stores.
The post-holder will be responsible for the Two Boats Shop and will generally work on their own. There is potential to expand this business so ideally the individual must be business orientated, creative and willing to play an active role in the development of this retail outlet. They must have a good standard of numeracy and literacy, be highly motivated and creative, approachable and have good communication and customer care skills.
Main duties of the post will included responsibility for the day to day running of the Shop, cash handling and ensuring that the shop shelves are fully stocked and priced, with particular attention given to ‘Best Before Dates’.

The shop currently opens half a day, mornings and afternoons on alternate days. The hours of work are 24 per week with the option of re-shuffling the hours to suit the ideal candidate if necessary. The salary for this post is taxable and will be paid at a minimum rate of £2500 - £3120 per annum. The post is being offered as a household status therefore accommodation will not be provided.
