The awarding of attractive trophis to all the winners and runners-up of the 2008 darts competitions marked the conclusion of another entertaining and successful darts season on Ascension. It was the first time many of the competitors had taken part in darts compeitions and the more experienced players were forced to take notice from the onset. Throughout the shooting skills and accuracy were outstanding and produced numerous thrilling games that were too close to call. Young Blood taking part in the team competitions for the first time, proved exceptional  in achieving the runners-up position in the Knock-out.

Congratulations to Scots and Saints on winning the League and Knock-out, the league runners-up LCI, and Young Blood. Congratulations to the following players on their individual achievements during the league: David "Platter" Lawrence(105) & Krystal Clifford (76) for the Highest Finish and Richard Constantine and Patricia "Patty" Youde for the Highest Score (both players scored the maxum 180 with just three darts).

Congratulations also to all the winners and runners-up of the Singles and the Doubles. Special thanks to Chris George and Cyril Leo for their assistance in organising the competitions, Brian "Dutch" Lawrence for preparing the delicious meal on Presentation Nite and Kayla Henry of "Windhoeks" for presenting the trophies
