EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – TWO BOATS GARDEN ALLOTMENTS

The Ascension Island Government invites expressions of interest from people living and working on Ascension Island for an allotment(s) for recreational gardening at what was known as the Old Garden Club, below Two Boats Village.

The area has been cleared and prepared by the Works Department and provides for twelve 7m x 15m plots.  There will be irrigation water provided to the site boundary and a standpipe within the site.  The allotments will be available within the next few weeks.

A fee of £20 per plot will be payable annually commencing 1 April and ending on 31 March. For allotments allocated within the year a pro rata amount will be charged for the remaining months of the year.

Rules for the Allotments can be viewed on the public notice boards at the Two Boats Club and the Administration Building in Georgetown.  Copies may also be obtained from the Administrator’s Office by telephoning 7000 extension 100.  Enquiries or requests for clarification should be addressed to Cathy Cranfield, Administration Manager.

Applications for an allotment should be sent to the Administration Department and envelopes clearly marked  “Expression of Interest, Two Boats Garden Allotments” and delivered to the Administrator’s Office or posted in the mail box on the ground floor of the Administration building by no later than  15 March 2008.  Allotments will be allocated on a first come basis.
