Ascension : Two Boats Club Children’s Christmas Party

On Sunday 16th December, 110 children enjoyed the fun and goodies of the children’s party.

On Sunday 16th December, 110 children enjoyed the fun and goodies of the children’s party.  Smiles and expectations greeted Father Christmas and Rudolph as they arrived on a diesel-powered sledge with a present for each child.  Compared to where he had travelled from, the weather on Ascension was sweltering but Santa Claus satisfied the hopes of each child with a chocolate selection stocking and a present before moving on to Ireland. 

Special thank you to the following people for helping to make the Children’s Christmas Party a huge success: Peter Flaherty, Peter Doherty, Derek Coleman, WPC Marlene Benjamin; Santa’s helpers: Laura Stroud, Shannon Duncan, Lou-Ann Yon-Brooks, Gemma Yon and Kayshai Reynolds; also  Pamela Roberts, Joyce Bennett, Angela Yon, Laura Stroud, Clare Duncan  and Lorna Drummond for helping with the scrumptious food; and to Wendy Benjamin, Cheryl Anthony and Colin Peters for entertaining everyone with the games and music, and all the Mums and Dads who stayed behind to help tidy up.
