Ascension : GOVERNMENT PRESS RELEASE - TELECOMMUNICATIONS

On 9 October 2007, under the Telecommunications Ordinance 1998, the Governor issued a new Licence to Cable and Wireless South Atlantic Ltd to provide public telecommunications services on Ascension Island.

 

The licence expires on 31 July 2012, in line with the licence Cable and Wireless has on St Helena. With this new licence in place, Ascension Island Government encourages Cable and Wireless to continue its programme of investment to update and expand its services to the public on the island.
