This coming Sunday 28th Oct, the golf club will be holding the Champion of Champions competition,
this will be in the format of 18 holes strokeplay, with trophies for winner and runner-up, nearest the
pin on the 7th - longest drive on the 11th, sign up sheet on club notice board.
Last Sunday the 21st of Oct, the club hosted the Saints Club Texas Scramble, 12 teams of 2
players per team took part in a very good morning of golf, the two ball pool consisting of 25
balls to the winners, was won equally by 5 teams, Whitie and Darren - Pie and Colin - Speedy
and Andrew - Martin and Patrick - Lawson and Dale, well done to all 5 balls per team.
The main competition prizes were as follows:
Nearest Pin on the 2nd -- CLAIRE MARSHALL
Nearest Pin on the 12th -- DARREN BEDWELL
Longest Drive on the 9th - NORMAN THOMAS
Longest Drive on the 18th-DALE JOSIAS
Third Place overall ------ PAUL EDWARDS AND BUTCH BLEASDALE ON 39 PTS.
Second Place overall -- PATRICK O,DEAN AND COLIN 41 PTS.
First Place overall -------LAWSON HENRY ANHD DALE JOSIAS 43 PTS.
Well done to everyone who took part, this was followed by presentation of prizes, and a spare
rib curry lunch at the Saints Club, Mr Don Hoffay then followed this with his KARAOKE system
and we were into a bit of a singing for the afternoon, with some notable good voices and some not
yours truly included, its the taking part that counts I say, thanks Don................
