Ascension : The Runway Dash

Well what can we say but a very, very big thank you to all who took part in the Runway Dash.

Thankyou also to those who donated money but were unable to walk, your support was greatly appreciated

I wont start with all the thankyous now, thats for next week when our sun/wind burn and tried feet have recovered.

So many happy smiling faces.

It was wonderful to see so many families walking together.

Many walked, rode or were pushed further and faster than they had been before.

Well done to all the children and those young at heart whatever their ages.

Ascension has many more runners than I have ever seen before, where have you all been hiding/running??

Currently we are not 100% sure how much money has been raised but it is much more than we ever expected.

We have also recieved a very genrous and totally unexpected donation, more on that next week.

The final amount will be in next weeks Islander, with lots of fantastic photos.
