Dear All, There is a story about this young boy whose parents were very strict with him and would not allow him to become friends with the boy living across the road.

Dear All,

There is a story about this young boy  whose parents  were very strict with him and would not allow him to become friends with the boy living across the road.   He was most upset and worse still when his brothers and sisters stood by his parents decision. This caused a division in the family.  When he was old enough he left home, broke all relationships with them, and eventually became great friends with the boy, a decision he never regretted.

This  story  reminds us  that because of what Jesus taught it brought division to the people of his day which lead to some serious decision making, to be for Him or against Him.  It was a challenge they had to face and whatever their choice there was the danger of them being divided from family members.

We too have to face up to that challenge and  make that very important choice.  Are we for God or against Him?

With Love and Prayers,

Canon Clive.
