The 2007 Rounders season came to an end on Sunday 22 July with an excellent day of sporting fun enjoyed by spectators and participants alike. The results for the Knockout final were:

The results for the Knockout final were:

The 2007 season had just 4 teams participating for both the league and knock out and also the district competitions.  However the girls had a thoroughly good time and games were played in a good sporting manner.

Overall winners for the various competitions were:

Umpires Awards went to the following ladies, without whom the games could not be played.  Thank you for giving up your time.

Competitions such as these cannot take place without the help and support of so many members of the community.

So we would like to thank the following people:

Firstly, the teams, for their good sportsmanship throughout the tournament. The Umpires for giving up their time to do what can sometimes be a very hot and tiring task. Supporters who showed up religiously throughout the season and the excellent turn out on presentation day.   The Scouts; for the much needed shelter.  IDL, and IDL Grounds men for their good work in keeping the sports field in good shape.

Fred Crowie, Darren Reynolds, Martin Stevens and any others that had helped in any way.

Miss Ascension Runner Up for presenting the Cups and Trophies, Johnny Hobson for being an excellent MC, as always and also to Smudge for keeping the presentation party alight, with his party music.

Finally, on behalf of the girls “THANK YOU DONALD! “  Without your enthusiasm for sports and time spent organizing the competitions we would not have enjoyed so many seasons of Rounders over the years.
