Ascension : Church News
Submitted by The Islander (Clive & Jenny Duncan) 26.07.2007 (Article Archived on 09.08.2007)

Dear All, Bishop John Salt, OGS., will be visiting Ascension from Saturday 25 August to 4 September 2007.

Dear All,

Bishop John Salt, OGS., will be visiting Ascension from Saturday 25 August to 4 September 2007.  If anyone would like to have a meeting with the Bishop please get in touch with me at the Vicarage.  He will also have a meeting with St. Mary's Church Council.

The Church Council is planning another fund raiser to take place at the end of August as announced in last week's edition of the Islander. The proceeds from this event  will be divided between the Church and a local organisation. We hope that you will support us again.

It was nice having Rich Tochtrop back for a few weeks and joining us in worship in St. Mary's.  Rich goes back to his hometown this week and we can look forward to another of his visits in the not too distant future.

Welcome back to Cheryl and Robert your return was well timed for the Baptism of Jerome on Sunday.  Whenever there is a Baptism one can expect the congregation numbers to swell and Sunday was no exception when we had forty three people in Church.

With love and prayers

Canon Clive.
