On Tuesday 19th June a charity Bingo Night was held in the Mountain View Club. Hosted by RAF Movers detached from No.1 Air Mobility Wing, RAF Lyneham, with prizes kindly donated by Freddie Crowie, NAAFI Manager, 100 pounds was raised for the Special Needs Department at St. Andrews School, St. Helena.

After spending three enjoyable weeks in Ascension the Movers decided to give a little bit back to the community. SAC Paul Garbutt, part of the organising team commented, " This has been my first time in Ascension, I've enjoyed the warm welcome we have received from the locals, so we decided that we'd like to show our thanks in some way."

Sgt Deano Richardson added, "Having been to Ascension on many occasions myself, I realise how important the community factor is to the residents. To raise 100 pounds for the Special Needs Department at St. Andrews School with fellow Movers has been a highlight of my detachment here"

The team also consisting of SAC's Rob Muller, Gemma Talbott and Sarah Jones added their thanks to everyone who attended the event.
