Last Sunday the 18th of Feb, One Boat Golf Club held their monthly medal competition, 21 players turned out for this, a very good turn out, thank you all.

Last Sunday the 18th of Feb, One Boat Golf Club held their monthly medal competition, 21 players turned out for this, a very good turn out, thank you all.


The two ball pool, was well contested as always, three winners on the day, 7 balls each to: Fred Bennet, Alex Turner, and Lawson Henry, well done to you all.


The main competition, the medal was fought for hard by all, coming out on top this month were in second spot, with a very good round of golf was Lawson Henry


with a nett:69, two handicapper, not for much longer!!!!, the winner on the day with an also very good round of golf was, Norman Thomas with a nett:67 three


handicapper same rules apply eh Norman!!!!, well done to all who took part, conditions out on the course were hot and windy thanks for the wind.


The presentation of trophies took place,  and we retired for a cold one, the day belonged to Lawson though, as he was celebrating his birthday,


he laid on a curry lunch and some free drinks for all, very much appreciated Lawson thanks from us all, a rendition of happy birthday was sung,


if thats what you can call it, and the afternoon went well....


Forthcoming events for your diary next Sunday the 25th of Feb we will be holding the "TOMBSTONE COMPETITION", sign up on club notice board.


11th of March will be the "DR BILL COMPETITION"


25th of March will be the "CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS"


KEEP WATCHING THE NOTICE BOARD AND GET THOSE NAMES DOWN FOR THE COMPETITIONS, BYE FOR NOW AND KEEP SWINGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
