Dear Friends,

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent.  No doubt you have already been asked the usual question or heard the question being put to some one else, "what are you giving up for Lent?"  or perhaps you had already made up your mind what its going to be.  In addition to giving up something for Lent it is also an opportune time to give thought to committing more time to reading our bibles, spend more time in prayer,

come to church more often, or where possible involve yourself more with the work of the Church.  Of course there may well be other things that you can of.  But what ever it is let us not lose this opportunity to commit ourselves to the targets that we have set ourselves this Lent.

Have a pleasant week .

Canon Clive.
