YEAR 9 HAVE RECENTLY BEEN REFLECTING ON THE PAST YEAR AND THE ONE AHEAD. HERE’S OUR THOUGHTS.

My name is Shaun.  Last year was a good year for me. I achieved good grades on my grade card and had no detentions. Another reason was that I got to learn how to play the Guitar. I felt these things were great achievements. But not only did I get to learn to play the Guitar I also had the opportunity to perform on stage. This was both a great feeling and achievement.

This year I would like to progress more in the band and hopefully learn to play more than one song this year. I would love to get a high level in my SATs and achieve more in school. And, hopefully not get in too much trouble. I am also looking forward to choosing my options and moving into Year 10.

It’s a new year and I have a lot ahead of me.

In May I will do my SATs, which will show what I have learnt in Key Stage 3.

I have a lot of revising to do. Hopefully I will get good grades.

In September I will be in year 10 and will start course work and choose my options which will lower the variety of lessons so I get to study the subjects I enjoy most in more detail.

2 years from now I would like to have left school with GCSE levels of B or C, enough to get me into college.

I am looking forward to the future.

The past year was not so good because most of it I spent on St Helena instead of here. At the end of the last year though, I did get to learn to play the guitar.

This year, 2007, I hope to continue improving my guitar skills and continue playing in the band. I also want to achieve more at school and get good SATS results.

It’s a new year and there’s a lot happening

In May/June I will be sitting my key stage three SATs which, I hope I will get good grades for.  In September I will be moving into Year 10. I will also be choosing my options and these subjects I will study in more detail for my GCSEs. I will also be doing a lot of thinking and decision-making about what I will do when I leave school. Whether I will further my education or find a job? The next two years will be a very busy and challenging time for me.

In the past year a lot has happened and changed. For starters I have moved to Ascension, which is an adventure in itself… which also means I have started a new school (Two Boats), I now also have a job at the Obsidian to keep me going, which is great. I have been back to England twice to see friends and family, (and shop). It’s definitely a year I’ll never forget!

This year brings more changes, I will be starting another new school in England around July, and so I will choose my school options over there. It will always be hard to leave Ascension, but it’s something I have to do. I’ve just got to stay positive.

Through the past year I have been through a lot of changes. It hasn’t been a bad year at all for me. I got a job at Obsidian so now I am earning some cash. I have been on holiday to England a couple of times. What I am planning to do next year is move back to England, start a new school, have fun and keep smiling.

Over the past year I have achieved a lot of challenging tasks. I have improved my school work, been a good friend, and had a lot of fun at scouts. During this year I am planning to achieve a lot of exiting, hard and challenging things!
