Dear All,
It was pleasing to see a good turn out for our service last Sunday morning for the baptism of Shelby Renae Clifford and also to say fare well to one of our regular congregation members, Rich Tochtrop.
For the past eight years Rich has been involved with the work in St. Mary's. He served for a period on the Church Council and the Ascension Day Fair Committee. Was one of our Readers, a Sidesperson, Bellringer, and operated 'George' for the music for our services. He was instrumental in organizing the annual fishing competition as a fund raiser for the Church. Rich will be greatly missed within the Parish of St. Mary's and pray that he will be spared to enjoy a long and happy retirement.
Annual Vestry Meeting. Just a reminder again that in accordance with the revised Canon the Annual Vestry Meeting should take place on or before 15 March 2007. The qualification for a Church Warden requires the person to be a Confirmed Communicant member of the Church of the age of twenty-one and above. For Parish Council Members the qualification is that they are Confirmed Communicant members of the Church. No age qualification.
The date for the Annual Vestry Meeting will be made known shortly.
Have a pleasant week.
Canon Clive
