Message: ----------------------------------------- I have been commissioned to update the Bradt Guide to St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha which is currently out of print. As the newspaper editor, you obviously have your ear to the ground and I would be grateful for some information on current developments and changes in Ascension (I know the flight situation ex-UK is changing). For example is tourism actively being encouraged and are there more/less tourists coming than in the past? Do you get visits from many cruise ships and if so which ones? What are the most important political issues etc.?Are there any opportunities for visitors to take part in conservation work - something that is very popular with Brits these days. I am trying to build up a an up to date picture of life on the island and what visitors might expect - particularly given the eye-watering £1,000 plus fare to get there and back - or probably more on the RMS. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards Robin Liston (0044 208 883 7314)

Message: ----------------------------------------- Dear Editor, I'm interested in contacting with Mr. John Clouse. As a researcher, I'm gathering information for a possible educational documentary about NASA. I was referred to your newsletter, since Mr. Clouse once worked as a Business Editor some 30 years ago, with the first issue of the Islander. According to my information, Mr. Clouse also worked with Bendix Ops. I hope you can help me in locating Mr. Clouse. I'll appreciate any information such as email, telephone number or address where he might live. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need additional information. I live in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, and I can be reached by email or cell phone, at (954) 205-5807. Thank you for your help with my search, Rebecca T. Wilkner Researcher
