Ascension : Two Boats School
Submitted by The Islander (Soo Matthews) 30.11.2006 (Article Archived on 14.12.2006)

Anti-bullying week, Christingle Service, End of Term Production, Holiday Dates and Parent Governor Vacancy

Anti-bullying Week

The total funds raised through the sale of the badges and dog tags was £50 – well done to all the children.

Christingle Service

The Christingle service led by Canon Clive will be held at Two Boats School on Thursday 7th December at 6:30pm.  The children will make the Christingles in the morning in readiness for the service in the evening.  We look forward to seeing you at the service.

End of Term Production

This will take place on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th December.

The end of term production is a three part affair with

  • Nursery Rhyme Nativity performed by lower school
  • Countdown to Christmas presented by Middle School
  • and Musicality presented by the senior school.

Tickets will be on sale through school – watch this space for more details.

Holiday Dates

School term ends on Friday 15th December and begins again on Thursday 11th January 2007.

Governor Vacancy

Following the resignation of Sarah Coverdale there is a vacancy for a parent governor.  The school would like to thank Sarah for her hard work and support over the last two and a half years.  As many parents are either away on leave or about to go on leave this vacancy will be advertised within the school community after Christmas.

Many thanks

Soo Matthews
