Ascension : Ascension Island Government Appoints New Agents to Handle Production and Marketing of its Postage Stamps and Associated Products

Georgetown, October 17, 2006 – The Ascension Island Post Office and Philatelic Bureau is delighted to announce that, with effect from 1 January, 2007, Ascension Island stamp production will be handled by Creative Direction (Worldwide) Ltd while all stamp marketing will be handled by Pobjoy Mint Ltd.

Georgetown, October 17, 2006 – The Ascension Island Post Office and Philatelic Bureau is delighted to announce that, with effect from 1 January, 2007, Ascension Island stamp production will be handled by Creative Direction (Worldwide) Ltd while all stamp marketing will be handled by Pobjoy Mint Ltd. 

All parties involved in this new arrangement intend to ensure that Ascension Island stamps are produced to the highest quality and that they will appeal to both our existing, loyal collector base whilst reaching a wide international market. 

As a mark of their commitment to the growth of their Philatelic Business and as a gesture of support to the UK market, Creative Direction (Worldwide) Ltd and Pobjoy Mint Ltd confirmed that they have reserved a double booth at London 2010 – Festival of Stamps where they will represent their Postal Administrations.

Future issue plans for Ascension Island will be announced shortly.
