Ascension : BIGGEST TUNA THIS YEAR !
Submitted by The Islander (Gary Robinson) 17.08.2006 (Article Archived on 12.10.2006)

Caught by Errol this week on the boat Red Snapper, skippered by Freddy-Jo.

The tuna took 45 minutes to bring in on a 12 ‘o’ reel and tuna stick rod.

During the fight to bring it in the fishing line severed the anchor rope resulting in loss of anchor and new rope! However, back at shore it weighed in at 230lbs… which just might be the biggest this year.
