Ascension : Sports Relief 2006 - Ascension Island
Submitted by The Islander (Nathan Prince) 20.07.2006 (Article Archived on 03.08.2006)

Thank you to all those who turned out on Saturday morning and helped to raise £110.00 which has been sent to Sport Relief 2006.

Thank you to all those who turned out on Saturday morning and helped to raise £110.00 which has been sent to Sport Relief 2006.
Amongst the approx 75 runners who ran the one mile route around Georgetown, were some very young participants such as Trey at only 4 years of age whilst at 76, Mrs Dulcie Robertson was the oldest.
A special mention for Nandele who at only 6 years old, ran the whole way around and was one of the first runners home - although I think he was just trying to keep ahead of Finn!
Well done to everyone
