Ascension : Update On Ascension's Water Supplies
Submitted by The Islander (Gavin Yon) 30.03.2006 (Article Archived on 13.04.2006)

The repair project to re-tube the first stages of both distillation plants has been
completed successfully and our water production capacity has been restored to normal.

24th March 2006

To all Residents, Ascension Island.

BBC Power Station, update on water supplies

The repair project to re-tube the first stages of both distillation plants has been
completed successfully and our water production capacity has been restored to normal.  This means that the economy measures that were introduced can be relaxed, swimming pools can be topped up, car washing can be resumed etc.
I would like to thank everyone for their co-operation in saving water which meant that we were able maintain water supplies without the need for the introduction of more stringent measures.
