Three funded studentships are available at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation, University of Exeter in Cornwall for applicants from the UK Overseas Territories to study for a one year taught MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity.
Three funded studentships are available at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation, University of Exeter in Cornwall for applicants from the UK Overseas Territories to study for a one year taught MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity.
The positions are funded by the Overseas Territories Environment Programme (OTEP) – a joint initiative of the UK’s Department for International Development and Foreign and Commonwealth Office, in partnership with the UK Overseas Territories and are available from 1 October 2005.
Applicants should have a first degree in a relevant subject area and will be currently employed by a government agency or non-governmental organisation in one of the UK Overseas Territories or have a position to take up on obtaining this postgraduate qualification.
The degree course will be taught at the University of Exeter in Cornwall’s new Tremough Campus in Penryn, Cornwall where students will be based from October 2005 until February 2006, before returning to conduct a research project in their home country.
Each OTEP Fellowship will cover all tuition fees, travel to and from the UK to undertake the course and field work, plus a generous allowance towards accommodation and subsistence whilst in the UK. Applicants will need to fund their living expenses for the period during which they conduct their field research project.
