ASCENSION:

Another generally dry week, with just a few light showers over the mountain, until Sunday evening that is, when a some heavier showers affected much of the island for an hour or two. We suspect the rainfall at the Residency was even more than at Travellers, but for logistical reasons the reading is taken on Sunday, before the evenings showers will have added to the total – it will appear in next weeks total though.

ST. HELENA:

A fairly typical week with temperatures perhaps just a half degree or so higher than average. Though rather cloudy at times there were still some decent sunny spells to bring the sunshine up to 34.5hrs for the week.

UK:

Typically spring, rather mixed.  Some pleasantly warm weather at times, more especially in the south of England with temperature occasionally reaching 17 to 19deg C.  However with some clear skies many parts also had a touch of frost overnight.  Weather fronts brought rain or showers, the heaviest of this across the north of England during Friday and Saturday with over 2 inches of rain at Newcastle for instance.

FALKLANDS:

A cool start to the week, then gradually milder if rather mixed weather with a little rain at times.  Turning rather cool again during Sunday with wintry showers by Monday morning.
