Acting Administrator

The Administrator will be absent from the island from 24 – 30 July 2012.

His Excellency Mark Capes, Governor of St Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha, has appointed Mr Paul Cook, AIG Director of Resources, as Acting Administrator during this period.

Island Representative at Olympic Opening Ceremony

Following an invitation from the Foreign Secretary, Councillor Mrs Cathy Cranfield was nominated by the Ascension Island Council to represent the island at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games.  Councillor Cranfield will be accompanied by her husband, Colin.
