Ladybirds News

It has been a busy time at Ladybirds with visitors coming to see us, training and, of course, lots of arts and crafts work being done.

Fire Training

We would like to thank the AIG Fire Department for coming up to the Ladybirds session to carry out essential fire training for the parents and carers.  There was a chance to put out a fire with different types of fire extinguisher for the adults then the session was wrapped up with the children enjoying a go at using the water hose.

Visit to Foundation Stage

The Ladybirds children had another chance to experience some school time with the Foundation Stage children and this is always appreciated as it allows the children to feel more comfortable when they start at school.  It is sometimes difficult to persuade some of them to leave!  We are grateful to Mrs Yon for accommodating us within her class time.

Arts and Crafts

Any visitors will notice that we have been doing a lot of arts around animals lately, with woolly sheep, cows jumping over the moon and pink piggies making their way onto the walls.

Graduation

The children who will be leaving Ladybirds to go to school in August will be graduating on Thursday 5th July.  This is an important day for the children and one that is always special.  Thank you to Michelle for all the work you have done with the children during your Thursday visits and also for organising the day’s celebrations.

We welcome all children up to school age so please feel free to come along.  £1 per session, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 11.30am.
