Ascension : New's From St.Marys
Submitted by The Islander (Nathan Prince) 03.06.2004 (Article Archived on 17.06.2004)

Thanks to Chris Webster and his wonderful helpers for organising the Horse Race and refreshments on Saturday evening which I am sure was enjoyed by all.

Dear Friends

Thanks to Chris Webster and his wonderful helpers for organising the Horse Race and  refreshments on Saturday evening which I am sure was enjoyed by all.  The money raised from this event will be added to that already raised for St. Mary's Parish.

I am pleased to announce that another Songs of Praise is being arranged before Ricky leaves us which will take place on Sunday  13 June in St. Mary's Church.

You will note from the above Church Notices that there is an additional this coming Sunday with an 8am Mass. The 10.30. service will be a Family Service with the youth organisations on parade.  Sunday is also a special day it being the 60th anniversary of the D Day landings.  We trust that you will be able to join us for this service as we remember with thanksgiving all those brave people who sacrificed their lives on that day.

Love and Prayers.
