Meeting place for the beginning of this week’s hash was at Sandy bay, half way down North East road.

Hares:  Sniffy & Dozy ‘apath

Hounds:   Baggage Boy, Man Beater, Blade Runner, Wood ‘n’ Pecker, Stickless Dragon, Tom Thumb, Simply Indiscrete, Uncle Fester, Boy Racer, Dr Livingstone, I Presume, Drop ‘em Blossom, Dennis, Andy, Mark, Mollie & Marion (if I forgot you Sorry)

Meeting place for the beginning of this week’s hash was at Sandy bay, half way down North East road.  Once assembled, the hazards were given as steep downs, steep ups, unseen rocks under the under growth, some ducking under and slippery under foot, oh and a WWII mortar.  The on-on was given,  Dr Livingstone and I presume turned up, and off we went. ON-ON.

Over the road to find the hash and then down a water course, this is where the hashers split into two groups the fearless ones off at the run down and down and the slightly slower admiring the way the water had shaped the rocks.   Dr Livingstone gave I Presume piggy backs down some of the more challenging waterfalls.  The first circle check was approached and the rest were nowhere to be seen, the on-on was given, right turn and up this time with some pushing up this time and a little bit of rock climbing, up-up we went and to start catching up with front runners and the 2^nd circle check. Again no Blade Runner, Uncle Fester the new Major and his Srg, who had led who astray I wonder?  At the road Stick less Dragon, Drop ‘em Blossom & a couple of others headed up the road muttering something about knees.

Over the road and across a flatish area to another dried river bed and the 3^rd circle check, on-on and up-up to a 4^th circle check on top of a small steep hill. Poor Dennis and Mark fell fowl of the circle check rules, 5 & 10 press ups were executed. When Tom Thumb and Mollie reached us the on-on was given and down we went but Dr Livingstone and Blade Runner had other ideas and they carried on up and round the top of the next water course. The rest of the hashers went up & down &up & down to the 5^th circle check and on we went passed the WWII mortar and found that it was dead.  Sniffy was unsure as it was half buried so Baggage Boy dug it out to see, at this point the light was fading fast but not far now so off we sped to the waiting beer.  Sniffy brought up the stragglers down a short cut to the road and home.

The Hash master quickly grabbed a pad and pencil and to get names and left for another DO as did Baggage Boy & Man Beater.
