Well, most of the hardy hashers found their way to the WWII fuel storage tanks (also known as the water tanks behind Cross Hill).  No latecomers this week.  The hazards were given and the mini hashers were directed towards the guns.  A steady, flat route.  An ideal first hash for Felicity and Emerus (Thumper admitted she hasn’t hashed for 3 year now).  Mucky digger took control and gallantly aided Felicity over the rocks teaching her to yell ‘on-on’ at the rare hash sightings.

The longer legged hashers were told to follow the blue pipe until they met the hash.  After following the BLUE water pipe, Hashers realised they were hunting for illusory hash.  Wrong pipe or right pipe in wrong direction?  Mr Fluffy realised he had been following the WRONG blue pipe in the wrong direction (or something like that)!!  After relocating hash and pipe the path took them to the north around Cross Hill.  The route diverted from the simple path onto a rocky ridge.  A circle check gave vistas of the power station and beyond.  At this point those wanting a more challenging hash were told to climb the scree to the summit.  Strangely, all continued with the route round the hill to meet up with the little people who had by this time turned back towards the tanks.

Messy Queen’s excuse this week was that he had been following the wrong pipe line?  Mucky Princess had a rather special ‘disco ball’ birthday cake to share after a chorus of ‘hashy birthday’.  As dusk drew in, the donkeys decided to join the apres.  Messy Queen and Mucky Princess would have given them indigestion with the amount of pepperoni pizza and sausage rolls they were fed.

Thanks to Mr Fluffy for setting his first hash – and may there be more!  Felicity is definitely a hasher in the making, walking all that way and refusing to be carried.

Next week:  Patio D20, Two Boats

Hare:  Wood’n’Pecker

Bring  a plate of eats.
