The Ascension Island Government will require the services of two Cleaners within our Facilities Management Department.
 ASCENSION ISLAND GOVERNMENT
The Ascension Island Government will require the services of two Cleaners within our Facilities Management Department. The successful applicants will be required to undertake general cleaning duties in respect of AIG buildings, i.e. offices, accommodation, etc.
The main duties of the post are:
· General cleaning of government offices and other AIG buildings (including Passenger Terminal).
· Cleaning windows
- Cleaning Georgetown Swimming Pool area (pool not included) and changing rooms.
- Cleaning and preparing residential premises for new employees when necessary.
The successful candidate must:
· Have experience in cleaning to a high standard.
· A reasonable standard of education.
· Have some working knowledge of Health & Safety at Work.
· Be able to deal and converse well with colleagues and the general public.
· Be prepared to work flexible hours.
· Be in possession of a valid driving licence for a Class A motor vehicle.
Salary will be at Grade 2 with a minimum and maximum salary band of £4,225.00 - £7,935.00 per annum. The successful applicant’s salary will fall within this salary band and will depend upon prior experience. The post is offered as a household or single status contract and an allowance of £2,769.00 per annum will be paid and accommodation provided.
