Dear Friends
When the Church Council met on Monday 23 February it was agreed that provisionally the Easter Vestry Meeting be held on Sunday 18 April.
Although the meeting is still a few weeks away, it is not too early to start approaching people to serve as Churchwardens, or Alternate Wardens or a Council Member. Nomination forms will be available from the back of the Church next Sunday. If you would like to put your name forward, all you have to do is get a Proposer or Seconder and then hand the completed form to me. I have no doubt at all that there are a few wiling people out there, so act now and don't leave it for the last minute.
I am back on my favourite hobbyhorse again. Have you guessed? Yes, it's all about getting some more members in our choir. I was feeling that we had achieved something when a few ladies came forward recently, but unfortunately, we are currently back to two again with two members being off the Island and another one will be leaving shortly. We are desperately in need of more members. If you are here for only a few months and feel that you can help out, please let us know. I am aware that some people are reluctant to make such a commitment, but if we had more members then something could be worked out. Please think about it.
We are planning a special service for Mothering Sunday which is on the 21 March with a live band in attendance. It would be great to have a full choir to lead the singing that Sunday!!!
Love and Prayers
Canon Clive.
