Ascension : Extension of Governor Gurr’s Appointment
Submitted by The Islander (Public Relations Information Office) 17.06.2010 (Article Archived on 01.07.2010)

The Governor is pleased to announce that his appointment as Governor of St Helena has been extended by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for a further year. This will mean that the Governor is now likely to leave the Island in July next year.

Governor Gurr is delighted to have the opportunity to spend longer than originally planned on St Helena, as he will have more time working for the interests of the people of the Island and to see through the many important reforms started during his administration.
