A small but determined group gathered at Garden Cottage to head out of what, despite earlier rumours, had been promised to be a slightly easier than late hash! It was a beautiful afternoon and it was nice to see Headmistress back in our midst!! Welcome back!!
Other than a few “precipices” to beware of, we were assured that it was an easy walk in the park. Paths all the way, although some of us know that “paths” can be the most tricky hashes of all! But off we went on the on-on, through the gate and along Rupert’s Path.
No one stopped for a break at the cave, and we continued on almost to the end of the path. Of course, a bit of a shortcut was in order, and we slid down the hill to Cronk’s Path. Headmistress, Mucky Digger and Wood’n’Pecker ambled along but eventually caught up with the rest.
After this it was a nice walk back along Cronk’s Path and back to the cottage. A few photo opportunities on the new bridge, and along the way. Young Mucky Princess had quite a good time along the way!
Back at the cottage it was time for some hash business. It seems that a sorry soul needed to be named. Her old friends dished the historical dirt on Joyce and she ended up with the name Hot & Sneaky!! Welcome to the Ascension Hash House Harriers!! Budweiser Belly, Curry Queen, Pirate and Chicken Hawk send greetings to all their old Asi hash buddies from Liverpool. Hard to believe they departed this island back in 2004!
Messy Queen cooked up quite a barbecue, which was enjoyed by all the hounds! Thanks for a great hash, the great food, and a great time!
Next Week: The usual Ascension Day Fair hash from the Post Office!
