The Thursday Sugar Bowl

The winners of last weeks Sugar Bowl were Stan Buchan, Jennie Niddrie and Claire Marshall. The 'Bowl' was finally decided by a 'chip off' after a back count couldn't separate the first two teams. In front of an excited and tense audience, Buchan's ball left Wright wrecked, Caven concerned, Preston in pain and Nightingale nervous.

The so close team of John Wright, Lee Nightingale, Mark Caven and Gary Preston are due to receive counselling after just missing out winning this prestigious trophy.

There was yet again a good turn out of some 15 players and some good two's.

As Stan has been the first to complete the 'Double', he will surely make some form of alteration to the trophy, this time!!!! As for Claire Marshall, how can she win 2 trophies in a week? As for Miss Niddrie, rumour has it that an early night was in order, for all the wrong reasons according to Lee!!!

The rest of us left early to go to work, more's the pity.

There's more to come next time - watch this space to see who will be this weeks recipients of this most coveted trophy.
