Driving home from Two Boats Club one night Mr and Mrs Moss were stopped for speeding by PC Peter McMullen.

Driving home from Two Boats Club one night Mr and Mrs Moss were stopped for speeding by PC Peter McMullen.

“You were doing 40mph in a 30mph zone,” said PC McMullen.

“Oh no, you’re wrong,” said the driver.

“I assure you sir, that my instruments are very accurate and that you were driving much too fast.”

At that point Mrs Moss leant across and said to the Constable. “It’s no good arguing with him now, not when he’s had too much to drink.”
