Principal duties of the post include:
· Carrying out driving duties, including transporting children to and from school.
· Assisting the cleaners in the daily cleaning of the school.
· Undertaking appropriate maintenance tasks in the school and to the school grounds.
· Posting and collecting school mail and general stores.
· Providing support for the Technology Teacher in preparation of woods, etc.
· Keeping school vehicles clean and carrying out appropriate vehicle checks.
· Assisting with deep clean of school during summer holidays.
· Assisting with transport for trips and visits as required.
Engagement will be on a single status basis. Salary and single allowance will amount to £8,769.00 per annum. The successful candidate will also receive: rent free accommodation, utility allowances, mid-tour passage/flight, a gratuity at completion of 2 year contract, free medical and primary dental treatment and generous baggage allowances.
The successful candidate must have:
· A reasonable standard of education.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· A good clean driving record (mandatory).
· A valid driving licence for class A, B & C vehicles.
· Experience in cleaning/driving/grounds maintenance duties.
· Ability to take initiative and be self motivated.
Responsibility:
· The safety of students and staff when being transported in school vehicles.
