The following case was heard in the Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15th January 2010:-
DERRIL GRAHAM CROWIE, aged 23, pleaded guilty to charges of driving with excess alcohol.
The Court heard that the charges arose from incidents which occurred on 13th and 19th December 2009.
Mr Crowie, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Nicholas Hobson, MBE, was convicted and ordered to pay a fine and costs totalling £200, and sentenced to 3 months imprisonment suspended for 1 year. He was also disqualified from driving for 2 years.
The following case was heard in the Magistrates’ Court today Tuesday 19th January 2010:-
DAVID MERVYN LAWRENCE, aged 52, pleaded guilty to charges of affray, possessing an offensive weapon and driving with excess alcohol.
The Court heard that the charges arose from incidents which occurred on 3rd December 2009.
Mr Lawrence, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mr Nicholas Hobson, MBE, was convicted and ordered to pay a fine of £240 for the charge of driving with excess alcohol. He was also disqualified from driving for 2 years. For the charges of affray and possessing an offensive weapon, Mr Lawrence was given an absolute discharge.
