Ascension : ASCENSION MAGISTRATES’ COURT

The following cases were heard in the Magistrates’ Court yesterday:-

 

Jasper Rolland George, of Traveller’s Hill, aged 23, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 10 December 2009 and pleaded Guilty to a charge of Driving whilst over the Prescribed Limit.

 

The Court heard that the charges arose from an incident which occurred on Gannet Road, on Saturday 3rd October 2009.

 

Mr George, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mrs Georgina Benjamin, was ordered to pay a fine and court costs totalling £150.  Mr George was also disqualified from driving all classes of vehicle for 12 months.

  

Brian Arthur Lawrence, of Two Boats, aged 57, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 10 December 2009 and pleaded Guilty to a charge of Driving whilst over the Prescribed Limit.

 

The Court heard that the charges arose from an incident which occurred on Old Mountain Road, on Friday 25th September 2009.

 

Mr Lawrence, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mrs Georgina Benjamin, was ordered to pay a fine and court costs totalling £250.  Mr Lawrence was also disqualified from driving all classes of vehicle for 12 months.

  

Abduraghmaan Josias, of US Base, aged 24, appeared in the Ascension Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 10 December 2009 and pleaded Guilty to a charge of Driving whilst over the Prescribed Limit.

 

The Court heard that the charges arose from an incident which occurred at the US Base, on Sunday 27th September 2009.

 

Mr Josias, who was represented by Lay Advocate Mrs Georgina Benjamin, was ordered to pay a fine and court costs totalling £150.  Mr Josias was also disqualified from driving class E vehicles for 12 months.
