Ascension Island

30th November 2009

I would like to take this opportunity through the pages of the Islander to say farewell to all my friends and former work colleagues and to record my gratitude to the Ascension Island community where my three children spent their childhood and for all the support that has been given to us socially and professionally. I would also like to thank my colleagues in the Commercial Department for their support to me and apologise to them for not having the opportunity to say a proper farewell. I wish them all the best of luck during this difficult time.

Finally, I wish to write a short message about my dear wife Iva and mother to our three children. Whilst we await an official inquiry into her disappearance to help us to bring closure to this sad chapter of our lives, I would like to thank all the people of Ascension for their assistance to us and to those who went in search of her.

Yours sincerely,

Lawson Henry
