Dear friends,
I have some contradictory information about the medium wave radio station on your island. Is it operating on 1602 or 1648 kHz?

Thank you,

Mauno

I am a long-distance radio enthusiast from Cape Town, South Africa.

I was fortunate to tune in to two of your local medium wave radio stations during excellent reception conditions in the 1970's /1980's.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would would be so kind as to advise if these radio stations are still broadcasting :

1) BBC local service relay on AM 1485 kHz.

2) Ascension Radio (ZD8VR / Volcano Radio)on AM 1602 khz.

Many thanks in advance.

I will be looking forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
